William "Nick" was a son of George Edward and Ellie Mae Eddlemon Nicholson. He married Linda Baggs on September 1, 1972 in Farmington. She survives.

Also surviving is one son, Carey (Amber) Nicholson; three brothers, Edward (Helen) Nicholson, David (Late Sherry) Nicholson and Larry (Katherine) Nicholson; three sisters, Donna Faye (Late Robert) Allen, Carolyn (Paul) Hutcherson and Charlotte (Late William) Land; and two granddaughters, Brea and Kara.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Jack.

Nick worked for Caterpillar at the Morton plant for several years before retiring in 1998.

He served in the United States Air Force.

Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
