Obituaries from Benton Co Ark Vol 3 1905-1909 Pg 262 - Brand, Fannie Bayes - from Logan - Died of pneumonia fever, March 2nd 1908 at 1 30 o'clock, Mrs Fannie Brand. She was 58 yrs old., was born and raised in Indiana and moved to Ark 28 yrs ago, locating on a homestead at the head of Bayes Hollow, which was named after her father, who had located prvious to them. Here she and her husb built their home and reared their family amidst the vicistudes of a home steader, ever willing to help those in distress and comfort those in sorrow. She was a fond mother and a loving wife, an early Christian, ever faithful to her duty toward her Heavenly Father. A member of the Methodist Church at Logan and was a charter member of its organization. She leaves a heart broken husb, two married dau's, Mrs Gertie Tharpe, Mrs Adolphus Daniels and three sons, J.O., J.B., and five grandchildren to mourn for a loving one that can never return. The remains were interred in the Springtown. Gentry Journal Advance - March 06 1908.
