Elizabeth Graves Parrish Walcott, May 3, 1815 to Mar 26, 1865, buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove, Fannin County, Texas. Married James G Gilmer and Benjamin Stuart Walcott. James and Elizabeth moved there in 1845 and James died the following year. They were one of the first settlers there. His grave has a historical marker that says all this. Their fourth son was said to be the first Anglo-American born there.
See Photo below. James was born in Adair County in 1814 and died in 1846. Benjamin Stuart Walcott was the founder and developer of Honey Grove and a native of New England. He opened the first store in Honey Grove in Samuel Erwin's log cabin and constructed the first frame store building when the town was laid out in 1848, erected the first school building in 1853 and gave land for a union church in 1856.

Cynthia Marie Parrish Allen, Feb 17, 1824 to Dec 22, 1905, buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove, Texas. Married John Turk Allen who died Sept 28, 1882 and also buried there. He was from Cumberland County, Texas. John was also one of the early settlers of Honey Grove.
Benjamin Bowmar Parrish, Aug 8, 1829 to May 31, 1895, buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove, Texas. Married Tabitha Cheatham in 1852 and Sallie S Rogers in 1869. Tabitha was the daughter of Josiah Cheatham and Elizabeth T Baker. Sallie was born in Greenwood, Arkansas.
Thresa Catherine Parrish Nicholson, Nov 16, 1831 to Dec 16, 1915, buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove, Texas. Married Captain Andrew J Nicholson of Fannin County, Texas. He served with Captain Bourland's Texas Regiment and was also a Texas State Representative.
Almira F "Mary" Parrish Taylor Married James Taylor, buried in McDonald Cemetery in Montague County, Texas. James Taylor was born in Carroll County, GA to Thomas Creed Taylor and Mary R Gregory. His parents are buried in Linden Cemetery in Linden, Texas.
