Alfred E. McWethy -- October 25, 1928 ~ June 28, 2017 (age 88) -- Alfred E. McWethy "The Old Duck Hunter", 88, of Petersburg passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Florence. He retired after more than 40 years of service from the Seagrams Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.


Al was a graduate of Hebron High School, founding member of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Dept., longtime member of the Petersburg F & AM Elvin E. Helms # 926 Masonic Lodge, member of Ducks Unlimited and the NRA.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean Nixon McWethy in 2014; son, Steven McWethy in 1978; and his parents, Milton and Sophia Weisickle McWethy.


Survivors include daughters, Kathy (Marty) Black and Connie (John) Culp, all of Petersburg and Peggy (David) Barnett of Louisville; grandchildren, Andrea House, Christopher Black, Monica Orchelle, J.T. Culp, Ali Culp, Madi Culp, Shelby Barnett, Sydney Barnett and Sophie Barnett; eight great grandchildren; and his special companion, Little Lady. -- Contributor: Dennis D.
