Mildred F. Abbring, age 95, of DeMotte, IN, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Aperion Care of DeMotte. She was born May 30, 1922, in DeMotte, Indiana and was a lifetime resident of the Wheatfield-DeMotte area. Mildred was the daughter of Fred and Bessie (Sekema) Hoffman.
Mildred married Thomas Abbring o April 6, 1942 in DeMotte. He preceded her in death on April 7, 2004. She attended DeMotte High School graduating with the Class of 1940. Mildred was a member of the American Reformed Church of DeMotte.
Mildred is survived by her children: Mary (Richard) Welscott of Bryon Center, MI; Kristie (David) Haznedl of Daytona Beach, FL; Fred (Janelle) Abbring of Wheatfield, IN; John (Cathy) Abbring of Wheatfield, IN; ten grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and sister, Jean Peterson.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bessie Hoffman; husband, Thomas Abbring; great grandson, Brian Thomas Welscott; sister, Johanna DeYoung.
