He was born to Wallace and Genevieve (Steiner) McGough. His mother survives in Fort Recovery. On Aug. 29, 1976, he married Cynthia Steveson and she survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Bob, David and Wallace, all Fort Recovery; a daughter, Stacey, Sidney; three brothers, Westley (Rosemary), Hicksville, Frank (Judy), West Lafayette, and John (Sharon), Celina; four sisters, Jane (Herb) Tobiss, Dayton, Kathy (Bob) Rutledge, Rockford, Joan Staugler, Fort Recovery, and Jeanette Ballou, Pikeville, Ky.; his mother-in-law, Bonnie Steveson, Fort Recovery; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Rose Ann Teboe, and his father-in-law, William Steveson.
He was employed at P.A.B. Construction, Coldwater. A Celina High School graduate, he served with the U.S. Army's Big Red One Unit in Vietnam, where he received a Purple Heart.
