Polly was the daughter of Asa Hewit & Mary Newton. She was married to Marsena Keep. Although no gravestone has been found, it is most likely that she is buried in Keepville Cemetery, as her husband Marsena died on Aug. 7, 1876, less than 8 months later & is buried there.

It is recorded in the Newton Family Bio from "North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000" that Mary Newton Hewit was born 12 December 1767 & died 26 February 1838. Since her husband, Asa Hewit died 15 July 1824 & is buried in Keep Family Cemetery, possibly Mary is buried there as well.

Polly's mother, Mary was the daughter of Moses Newton of Stafford Connecticut. Moses married Persis Bellows on 13 May 1747 at Southborough Connecticut. It is recorded that Moses & son John made guns that were used in the American Revolutionary War.
