The funeral service for Lillian A. Lange, 86, Vergas, MN will be on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. in
St. John's Lutheran Church, Vergas with Reverend Robert Hinckley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-7 p.m. in the St. John's Lutheran Church, Vergas and also one hour prior to
the service in the church. Lillian died on Friday, February 23, 2007 in St. Mary's Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, MN.
Lillian Alma Houghton was born the daughter of Lloyd and Alma (Wischnak) Houghton on May 6, 1920 in Marshalltown,
Iowa. Lillian was baptized into faith on December 12, 1920 in Marshall County Iowa. She moved with her family to
Vergas where she was raised and attended District 149 country school. Lillian confirmed her faith on May 30, 1937
at St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Loon Lake, Vergas. Lillian worked in a number of homes doing house work. She also
worked in the Fankhanel Restaurant and for Ehlke Grocery Store, both in Vergas. She was united in marriage to Adolph
Lange on March 19, 1941 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Loon Lake, Vergas. They farmed in Hobart Township, near Frazee.
Adolph died in June of 1991.
Lillian enjoyed growing flowers, feeding the birds and cooking. She especially loved spending time with her family
and friends.

She is survived by a son, Ronald of Frazee, a daughter, Diana (Walter) Wallace of Vergas, a brother, Duane (Judy) Houghton
of Vergas, three grandchildren, James (Tresa), Deborah Nelson, Nancy (Scott) Benke and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two brothers, George Houghton Jr and a brother at infancy.
