departed this earthly life Monday, August 7, 2016 at
Lexington Medical Center, West Columbia, South Carolina.
Maurice was educated in the public schools of Emanuel
County, Georgia. He was a member of Kedron Baptist
Church, Aiken, South Carolina. He was a veteran of the U.S.
Army. He was employed by the Graniteville Company for
thirty-five years as a sheet metal worker. He most recently
was employed by Lexington School District One for twenty
years.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters
and two brothers.
Those left to cherish his precious memories include: his
loving and devoted wife – Louise Denise Cannon Cauley of
the home; one daughter – Jeannie (Randy) Frazier; one son –
Tim (Maria) Cauley; three grandchildren – Heather, Michael
and Amanda; one sister – Carole (Lonnie) Harrelson; five
sisters-in-law – Laura Cauley, Mary Brunson, Lovelle
Hopkins, Loretta Tyler and Jeanette Cannon; two brothersin-law
– Calvin Cannon and Glenn (Marcy) Cannon; a host
of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who
will miss him dearly.
