LAVERNE, Okla. - Wayne Calvin Wofford, 86, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, in Woodward.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Laverne United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nancy Adler and the Rev. Wes Peterman officiating. Burial will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home.
Mr. Wofford was born March 30, 1920, near Laverne to James Perry and Martha Helene McCoy Wofford. He married Mary Louise Helmuth on Sept. 16, 1942, in Laverne.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Trudy Howard of Chickasha, Mary "Jane" Wofford of Laverne and Lennie Steinbrink of Stillwater; two sisters, Eunice Davis of Anaheim, Calif., and Coweta Storm of Fairview; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Laverne Ambulance Service, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848.
