SERVICES – 2:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Shamrock, Texas with Rev. Joe G. Jernigan, pastor, officiating.
INTERMENT- Texola Cemetery in Texola, Oklahoma.

BIOGRAPHY- Mr. Bass was born April 8, 1929 in Texola, Oklahoma to Walter Jackson and Lula Florence Shinn Bass. He married Mary Ann Collier on February 22, 1947 at Wheeler, Texas. Wayne was a rancher and spent 17 years working at the Mills Ranch in Texola and he also worked for the the Reinauer Brothers in Hereford from 1962-2002. Wayne loved the outdoors and working his cattle. You could always find Wayne at any event that his kids or grandkids were in. He had spent a few years in Decatur before moving to McLean in 2013.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his parents; 5 brothers, Bill, Dean, Harold, Jack, D.A. Bass; a sister, Imogene Dale; and by 1 great grandchild, Riata Atkins.
SURVIVORS – his wife, Mary Ann of McLean; a son, Kenneth Bass and wife Carol of McLean; a daughter, Sammie Ann Watson of Decatur; a brother, Bert Bass of Shamrock; a sister, Viola Potts of Lubbock; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
