Karen Wanaloy Harris, 78 of Whitesboro, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. She was born on January 10, 1939 in Tyler, Oklahoma to the late Vernon Cordell Bartee and Nadia Hallmark Bartee. Wanaloy was raised in Madill where she graduated from the Madill High School in 1956. She married Jimmy Dale Harris on October 27, 1956 in Gainesville, Texas and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1993. Wanaloy lived all over due to her husband serving in the United States Army and his work. In 1970 she moved to Whitesboro where she lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitesboro and she often attended the Bones Chapel Road Church in Whitesboro. Wanaloy was also a proud of her Choctaw heritage. Wanaloy enjoyed reading, cooking, flowers and horses. Her greatest joy was being with her family.
