Born in Providence he was a son of the late Frederick C. and Ellen (Ashworth) Knight.
Mr. Knight was a US Navy WWII veteran serving on the Sub Chaser, USS SC 1282, of which he was a plank owner.
He was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Warwick, RI.
He is survived by two children, John F. Knight and Pamela J. Ouellette, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
His funeral service was celebrated on Thursday June 29th in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St., East Greenwich, RI. Burial with military honors was in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Barnabas Church, c/o the Needy Fund, 3257 Post Rd., Warwick, RI 02886.
