James Thurman Tucker, age 80 of the Middletown area in Louisville, KY, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014. He was born and raised in the Burdine area of Eastern Kentucky, son of James and Nola Childers Tucker.

He served in the Army as a military policeman and was retired from LG&E. He was a long-time member of Middletown United Methodist Church and was a Mason and a member of Swigert-Middletown Lodge #218 . He had a passion for collectables and antiques.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Tish Tucker Voll.

Mr. Tucker is survived by his loving wife of almost 58 years, Nancy; daughter, Pam Hayden (Paul); grandchildren, Shelby Voll, Matthew Tucker Hayden (Erin), Rachael Hayden Harten (David); great-grandchild, Tucker Daniel Hayden; special friend, Martha Sue Creal; and a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be 11am Friday, October 10th at Middletown United Methodist Church, 11902 Old Shelbyville Road in Middletown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Association in memory of his daughter, Tish.
