Imogene Opal Rucker was born the daughter of Arnold Dunham and Lucille (McGhee) Dunham on March 11, 1926, in Myrtle, Missouri, and died June 18, 2017, in Caldwell, Texas, at the age of 91 years.
She was united in marriage to Wafe Deckard in January of 1943.
She is survived by seven children, Barbara , Shirley , James, Michael Rayi, Marilyn , Maxine and Robert; one brother, Larry; three sisters, Annie Mae, Oweda and Lola ; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Lucille Dunham; her husband, Wafe Deckard; one daughter, Linda Faye Deckard; two grandchildren, Aaron and Sherrie; two great grandchildren, Diana and April; four brothers, Samuel, Paul, Billy, and Charlie; and three sisters, Sue, Ann, and Opal.
Mrs. Rucker was a Christian lady and loved to sing gospel hymns with friends, while living at Burleson St. Joseph Manor in Caldwell, Texas.
She enjoyed arts and crafts and the game of bingo.
She was a homemaker and was deeply devoted to her family. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Burial will be in Thayer Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
