ALBERT W. AGLER, 76, of Berne died Sunday at home. The Adams County native
retired in 1986 as a truck driver for Berne Furniture Co., and was a former driver for
Don Ray Drive Away and Moser Motors. He was also a former World War II Air Force veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Irene; sons, Jon A. of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Glen A.
of Evansville; daughters, Sandra Burry of Bluffton and Vicki Hanni of Evansville;
sisters, Norma Sprunger and Nolda Hendricks, both of Berne; a brother, Noel; 12
grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Services are 10:30
a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Brethren Church, Berne. Calling is from 2 to 9 p.m. today and
from 8 to 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne. Calling is
also one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in MRE Cemetery. Memorials
are to Grace College or Church Missions Bluffton News Banner, Wells County, Indiana

ALBERT W. AGLER, 76

World War Ii Air Force veteran and Berne resident Albert W. Agler, 76, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday at his home from a heart attack.
Born Jan. 17, 1920 in Adams County, he was the son of Glenn and Elva Scoles Agler. He married Irene Light, who survives, on Nov. 26, 1941 at Peru.
He was a pilot in the Army Air Corps. during World War II and retired in 1986 as a truck driver for Berne Furniture Co. He later drove RV's for Don Ray Drive Away and for Moser Motors.
He was also a former Sunday school superintendent and a Little League baseball coach. He was a member of the Berne Lions club and the Bethel Brethren Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Jon A. Agler of Grand Rapids, Mich. and glen A. Agler of Evansville; two daughters, Mrs. John (Sandra) Burry of Bluffton and Mrs. Cary (Vicki) Hanni of Evansville; two sisters, Norma Sprunger and Nolda Hendricks, both of Berne; a brother, Noel Agler,; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a stepgrandchild.
Calling will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. service on Wednesday at the Bethel Brethren Church in Berne. Rev. D. Robert Griffith will officiate.
Burial will be at M.R.E. Cemetery.
