Died – On Sunday, May 24th, the Angel of Death claimed as a victim little Hazel Hope Houghton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Houghton. The child was taken ill the Friday before with cholera infantum and her tiny form after battling with the disease for three days and nights, at last succumbed. The funeral took place on Tuesday and the remains were interred in the cemetery at Newville. Little Hazel was born at the Houghton ranch on July 28th, 1900, and during the brief span of her life was the joy and pride of her parents.
