OPLIN - Billy Ray 'Bill' Windham, 79, died Friday, February 23, 2007, in an Abilene hospital.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. today, Sunday, February 25, 2007, in Tecumseh Cemetery, north of Oplin, with Bill Eason officiating, and directed by Fry-Bartlett Funeral Home in Tuscola.
Bill was born August 17, 1927, in Abilene to Sam and Pearl Watson Windham. Bill served in the U. S. Army following World War II. He married Rita Maria Williams November 29, 1947, in Lawn. He farmed and ranched in the Oplin area all of his life. He also drove a truck for White Mines at View. He was a member of Oplin Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Rita; six brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include one son, Bailey Windham of Clyde; two daughters, Billie Kay Middleton and husband Keith of Tye and Bobbie Pate of Abilene; two grandchildren, Wyndam Barrett Middleton and John Wyatt Middleton, both of Tye; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
