William (Will) & Mamie Martin were married 07 Apr 1912. He was the son of John Calvin & Sarah Bell (Sally) Davis Strain

Will Strain died in Granbury, Hood County, TX and his body was originally brought to Detroit, Red River County, TX for Burial. He was exhumed and reburied at Granbury Cemetery, Granbury, Hood County, TX after his wife, Mammie, died in 1964.

OBIT: DETROIT NEWS HERALD 28 Sep 1944 from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: J. L. Strain left this morning to attend the funeral of his brother, Will Strain, near Fort Worth. We were unable to learn the details, except he had been in poor health for some time and had two sons in service.

OBIT: DETROIT NEWS HERALD 5 OCT 1944 from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: Funeral services were held at the chapel of the Detroit Cemetery Friday afternoon at 5 o'clock for W. S. Strain, brother of J. L. Strain of Detroit who died at his home in Granbury Tuesday night. Dr Fred E. King, Methodist Pastor conducted the service. He is survived by his wife and eight children; two of home are in the armed service, five brothers and 1 sister.

W. S. Strain Died at Fairview Sept. 27
W. S. Strain, 53, died at his home in the Fairview community September 27. He had been in ill health for several months, but his death came suddenly as a result of a heart attack. Funeral services were held in Detroit, Texas, former home of the family, on September 29.
Mr. Strain had made many friends during the four years since he moved to Hood County. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife and eight children.
