Mrs. Claudia Austin JOhnson, 77 year old resident of Phillipi community died at her home on Thursday, December 18, 1972,
A native of Dekalb County and a member of the Church of Christ.,
and the widow of Ardon Johnson who preceded her in death in 1969.

She was the daughter of the late Ammon W. Austin and Minnie Sherman Medlen.
Survivors include a foster daughter, Mrs Earl Driver of Fort Wayne, Ind. Two brothers, S. W. Austin of Baxter; and Albert Austin, Smithville, and five sisters, Mrs, Lula Hallum and Mrs. Sallie Jones, both of McMinnville, Mrs Vada Pedigo of Morrison, Mrs Minnie Dalton of Cookeville, Mrs Lucille Medlin of SMithville.
Services were held at the chapel of Love-Cantrell and burial was followed at Whorton Springs Cemetry.
Serving as pallbearers were Ben Austin, Howard Austin, Jimmy Lee Hayes, Hershell Allison, JAck Helton, Gary Hood, A.p. HAllum and Paul Austin.
Love -Cantrell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemets.
