Bedford, PA – Royce “Hank” Randolph Zembower, Sr., 84, of Bedford, PA, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Born May 14, 1933, in Bedford, PA, Hank was the son of the late Charles Filler Zembower and Margaret Etta (Deremer) Zembower. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Charles and George Zembower; his sister: Neletta Kroll; his daughter: Vicki Zembower Kasecamp; a special nephew: Randy Zembower; and a son-in-law: R. James Swandol.

Hank was a truck driver for 43 years formerly employed at McLaughlin Transfer and retiring from Cumberland Concrete. He enjoyed helping his nephews on the farm. Hank was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time outdoors, not only gardening but also mushroom hunting, and picking berries. Hank looked forward to winter and having lots of snow to plow. His latest enjoyment was helping his wife, Geraldine, make pies for Kline’s Restaurant. Hank was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church but attended the Bedford Valley Assembly of God.

Hank is survived by his wife of 42 years: Geraldine Zembower; his sons: Royce “Hank” Zembower, Jr., and wife, Tiffany; Gary Zembower and wife, Cheryl; and Carter Zembower and friend, Dawn; and his daughters: Christine Corle and husband, Scott; Lori Morral and husband, Madison; and Cathi Loibel and husband, Joe. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Brayden Zembower; Samantha Corle; Hunter Zembower; Kaitlyn Zembower; Megan Zembower and friend, Brandon; Brittney Zembower; Destiney Zembower; Krista Kasecamp; Nathan Zembower and wife, Ashley; Gary Zembower, Jr.; Albert Zembower and wife, Megan; Joshua Swandol and wife, Holly; James Swandol and wife, Amber; and Staci Collins and husband, Shane. Hank also leaves behind his great grandchildren: Bentley, Paisley, Aubria, Brantley, Jared, Austin, Presley, Lincoln, Kaelyn, Landen, Carson, Kimberly, Abby, and Ariah. He also leaves behind his twin sister: Rebecca Eckard: his sister: Marian Ferguson and husband, Scott; his brothers: Verle “Popeye” Zembower and wife, Alice; and William Zembower and wife, Bertie; and his feline friend, Buddy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M., and from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., with Reverend Troy Gearhart officiating.

Interment will be in Fellowship Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Fifth and Seventh Floors, to Courtney in ICU, and to Dr. Zaman, Dr. Welik, and Tom Bostaph, CRNP, for all the care given to Hank.
