Eldred R. Avery, 91, of Camillus, passed away Sunday at Francis House. Born in Westville, he moved to the Syracuse area in 1948 and lived in Camillus since 2013. He was a 1943 graduate of Franklin Academy and a Navy veteran of WW II. After the war, Eldred graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 1947. He retired from Electrolux Corp. after 63 years in sales and previously worked for Carrier Corp. He was a 50-year member of the Pastime Club. Eldred was predeceased by his wife, Myrtle, in 2015. Surviving are his daughter, Paulette (Dan) Kelly of The Valley; son, Roger (Paula) Avery of Song Lake; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. There will be no services. Burial will be private in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
