88, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017.
Mary was a loving and dedicated wife and mother. She was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs. She was very gifted quilter and loved to tend to her gardens and write poetry.
She was born on May 8, 1929 in Bradford, Indiana to the late Alfred and Irene (Bauer) Bube. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Theodore "Ted" Venne; children, Yvonne Fentress, and Tim and Felix Venne; brothers, Delbert, Ralph, Virgil, Raymond, Richard, and Elmer Bube; sisters, Doris Thill, Edith Napper, and Barbara Campbell.
Mary is survived by her children, Jane Venne, Ernie Venne, Sara Edwards (Ray), Eva Andres, and Mark Venne (Ronda); daughter-in-law, Stephanie Venne; sisters, Helen Bube and Hilda Loftus; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Thursday, June 22, 2017 in the chapel at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (3011 Martin Road, Floyds Knobs) with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
