Helen Frances Stratton Ellis, 94, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017. Frances was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and also a member of The Daughters of Rebekah. She worked for many years at JC Penney's as a bookkeeper before retiring. She was a loving mother, grand, great and great-great grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by all those who knew her. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Friday, Jun 23, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and will resume on Saturday, June 24, at 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Max Landry. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, Baton Rouge. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly Brecheen, Larry Brent Clark (Joan), Kevin Kinchen (Debbie), and Heather Clark; great-grandchildren, Meaghan Jones, Merenda Wolford (Chris), Cary Creel, and Mary Grace Huey; great great-grandchildren, Channing Roe, Isabella Wolford, and Jamarion Rushing; sisters, Rebecca Clem, Kathalene Bowen, Lavenia Wayne, and Jeanette Sullivan; brothers, Lyle, Arnette, and Sherman Stratton. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd Harrison Ellis; daughters, Beverly Kinchen and Sherry Clark; and siblings, Mae Redmond, Kenneth Stratton, Gertie Hill, and Bobby Stratton.
