KY to Wabash pct. 1802 1840 Wabash; ch: John (21 Feb 1791 Wabash-1851 m: Jane Barney) & Elijah (1794 KY) & Mary (1796 KY-1831 m: Daniel Keen) & Elizabeth (1797 KY) & James (1799 KY) & Levi (1802 KY-1823) Joseph (10 Jan 1807 Wabash -28 Nov 1887 Mt Carmel m: Mary Gard) & Eli (1806 Wabash) & Samuel (1807 Wabash); In 1804 - 1810 he and others built Compton's Fort; 1812 he helped others to bury dead from Indian Massacre; 1814 he built first horse mill; helped create the town of Palmyra 22 April 1815 with Seth Gard & Peter Keen & Gervase Hazleton & John Waggoner; 1818 - delegate to First Constitutional Convention; signed the proposed constitution; served in the State Senate from 1818-1820; 1815-1819 Wabash County Treasurer; a Judge; a County Commissioner 1825 & 1826
