Robert Eloy Aragon, 89, a Pueblo resident, passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs on June 14, 2017. He was a good husband, father, provider, fisherman, gardener, wood craftsman, and loved dancing. He was born on Aug. 24, 1927, in Mesa Larga, N.M. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna V. Aragon; siblings, Fares E., Carmelita, Celedonio, Conrad, Sadie, Erminda and John Aragon; his first wife, Carolina R. Aragon. Survived by his second wife, Frances Aragon; brother, James Aragon; daughters, Charlene (Michael) Aragon-Brumfield, Karen Aragon and Roberta (Mark) Aragon-Shannon; stepdaughters, Phyllis Vigil, Lottie Serna and Sonya Vialpando; grandchildren, Jennifer, William, Erica Romero, David, Denver, Derek Brumfield, Jessica (Braxton) Roman, Vanessa and Sarah Shannon. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-grand-children. Robert served in the U.S. Army 2-71st Field Artillery from 1946-48 as a telephone lineman and operator in Japan. He received a World War II Victory Medal and Army Occupation Medal-Japan. He also worked as a psychiatric technician at Colorado State Hospital, and as a cabinet maker at Riviera Wood Products. Viewing, 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, June 22; funeral service, 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, Romero Chapel. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery Pueblo, Colo.
