Mr. Aaron Edward Crutcher was born on December 27, 1939 to Oscar and Edna (Tibbs) Crutcher. He passed this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Aaron was raised in Harvest, Alabama, where he grew a love for cars and motorcycles. He loved drag racing and at one point, was said to be one of the best African American Mechanics in town. He worked diligently, alongside his brother, Reverend Frank Crutcher (deceased) at Highway 53 Automotive, until he retired. Upon retirement, he enjoyed watching westerns and spending quality time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Edna Crutcher; three brothers, Hereford K. Crutcher, Reverend Frank Crutcher and Deacon Samuel D. Crutcher; two brothers-in-law, Nelson Allen and William Martin. He leaves to cherish in his loving memory: two sons, Dennis K. Crutcher and Jeffery T. Crutcher, Sr. (Sheila); four grandchildren, DéAndre Ragland, Dennis K. Stout (Staci), Jessica S. Crutcher and Jeffery T. Crutcher, Jr.; three great-grandchildren, Cristin Williams, Denise K. Stout and Cayden K. Jolly; two sisters, Carrie Allen and Mary Martin; one brother, Robert Crutcher (Almeta); two sisters-in-law, Mary Crutcher and Shelby Jean Crutcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the St. James Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America (2950 Jeff Road, Harvest, AL 35749) with Rev. Lawrence Sandifer officiating. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery. Mr. Crutcher will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Public viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 19, 2017 and 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the Royal Funeral Home.
