Frances Jane Chronister, 77, of Patapsco died Thursday evening, Feb. 22, 2007, at Westminster Nursing Center.
Born July 22, 1929, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ethel Royer Switzer.
Before retiring, she worked at Westminster Shoe Co. and at Jubilee Daycare in Finksburg.
She was a member of Patapsco United Methodist Church, Westminster Women of the Moose Chapter 897 and the Reese Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She was an avid bingo player.
Surviving are sons and daughter-in-law Francis L. and Patty Switzer of Hanover, Pa., and Alvin V. Chronister Jr. of Gettysburg, Pa.; daughters and son-in-law Brenda Blank Brenneman of Westminster and Beverly A. and Randy Minich of Newville, Pa.; sister Virginia L. Davidson of Patapsco; grandchildren Wayde Blank and wife Pam, Chad Blank and fiancé Aubrey Ball, Lonnie Blank and wife Amy, Zack, Tyler and Courtney Boarts, Amanda Switzer and Tony Murphy; great-grandchildren Curtis, Rachel, Luke, Jake and Hunter Blank; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brother Claud Switzer; and son-in-law Preston Blank Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Richard Shamer officiating. Interment will be in Patapsco Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the Reese volunteer fire company will conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
