Vera "Jane," 92, Greensburg died June 14, 2017 at St. Anne Home. She was born April 26, 1925 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Adam J. and Clara J. (Beers) Frye. Preceded in death by husbands, Dalton Folckemer and Charles "Chiz" Woolcock; brothers, Dwight, Robert and Eugene Frye; sisters, Beatrice Sellers and Catherine Bennett. Survived by daughter, Carol J. married to James M. Fox, Greensburg and grandchildren, Samuel Charles Fox, Sarah Elizabeth Fox and Matthew David Fox. Also survived by brother-in-law, Thomas Woolcock and wife, Sylvia and sister-in-law, Doris Poulos and numerous nieces and nephews. Vera was a 1943 graduate of Johnstown High School and Conemaugh Valley School of Nursing. She retired as a registered nurse from the former Lee Hospital and also served as a private duty nurse. She was a member of the First Reformed UCC in Greensburg. Friends will be received from Noon until time of funeral service at 2 PM, Saturday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd. The Rev. Steven Craft and Pastor Sharon Fox officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Latrobe Area Hospital Charitable Foundation, Friends of Nursing Fund, 1 Mellon Way, Latrobe, PA 15560 or to Living Waters Camp and Conference Center, 300 Camp Living Waters Road, Schellsburg, PA 15559 in Jane's memory.
