The daughter of the late Mont McGlothlin and Edna Mae Hart McGlothlin, she was born March 5, 1923, in Russell County, Va., where she spent most of her life. She loved traveling, shopping, bluegrass music and dancing. In her younger years, she loved to ride her horse, Easter's Whirlaway, in horse shows, taking home many blue ribbons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stevens; son, Clarence Stinson; grandson, Darrell Stinson; five brothers, Glenn, Frank, Gene, Bill and Con McGlothlin, and four sisters, Folsom, Cleo, Marie, and Lucille. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Honaker and attended Joy Baptist Church in Glade Spring. Survivors include one son, Wayne Stevens and wife Sharon; one daughter, Ella Deane Fletcher and husband, Ersel, all of Glade Spring; five grandsons, David Stinson, Shannon Fletcher (Kristy), Rick Stevens (Jessica), Danny Stinson (Melanie), and Terry Stinson (Samantha); two granddaughters, Tammie Fletcher Patrick (Michael) and Sherry Stinson Fuss; three great grandsons, Colton Stinson, Jayce Fuss and John Henry Stinson; three great granddaughters, Lindsey Massie (Anthony Sutherland), Madison Massie Greer (Austin), and Valeigh Stevens; a very special friend, Rosie Hale, who called her "my Myrle-friend"; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
