1856 Map of Franklin County, Ohio by John Graham (loc.gov) shows the L. Baughman homestead next to her brother Jacob Hoover's property in Plain Township. She stayed in Jacob's household until her marriage to Lewis Baughman after her father, his second wife, and her other siblings left to resettle in Wisconsin around 1836. Her brother Peter Hoover's homestead is also in Section 2 on that map abutting Delaware County.
Anna and Lewis married on Apr. 25 1839 in Plain Township which became part of New Albany by the 1950 US census. All of their children were born there before they moved to Logan County. It is likely that Baughman was pronounced "Bockman" rather than "Bauffman" at that time as it is misspelled as Bockman when Anna was named in her father's will.
