BATESVILLE - Edward Volney "Hot" Berry, 79, died Monday, January 29, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.
Services were Wednesday at Dickins Funeral Home. Rev. Jay Anderson officiated. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home had charge.
Berry, born Feb. 4, 1927, in Courtland, to the late Ira Warren Berry and the late Mable Clara Duke Berry, was a retired truck driver and a member of Black Jack Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lamar Berry.
Survivors include: his wife of 32 years, Jeanette Tidwell Berry of Batesville; two sons, Gene Wright of Memphis and Jimmy Wright of Homa, La.; two daughters, Lila Boswell of Germantown, Tenn. and Debbie West of Batesville; one brother, C.W. Bowden of Pope; one sister, Betty Jane Reid of Pontotoc; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
