A.L. Fidler, 97yrs, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2016. He was born August 25, 1919, on the family farm near St Joseph, Missouri, to Arla G. And Maude Fidler.

The family later made their home in Englewood, Colorado. A. L. graduated from Englewood High School in 1937, where he was a member of the 3 times State Champion football team and captain of the track team. He graduated from Denver University in 1954. Mr. Fidler spent the last 50 years in the Inland Valley.

Mr. Fidler served proudly in the US Army Air Corps in WWII and Korea as a B 26 and C47 pilot. He flew 105 missions. His working life after the Air Force was filled with his two loves--airplanes and cars! He was a 70 yr member of the Englewood Masonic Lodge 166 , Shriner's Int'l. and past Master Counselor of DeMolay.

Mr. Fidler was known for his honesty, kindness and gentle heart.

He was predeceased by his wife Joyce and sister Marjorie. He is survived by his children Sharon(Dick) Finch; Arleen (Richard) Colson; Larry (Rita) Fidler; Linda (Jim)Herschberg; and Barbie (Pete) Rose. Grandchildren Lisette Suder; Tiffany, Brianne and Adam Fidler; Matt Herschberg; and Steven and Ken Colson. Great Grandchildren Brynne, Ashlynne and Crayton Suder; Sarah, Hailey and Grace Colson; and Olivia Richter.

Military honors and Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 1:45 pm at March Field Air Museum, adjacent to Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.

Remembrances can be made in his honor to Shriner's Children's Hospital or March Field Air Museum, 22550 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, Ca 92518.
