Although there are voter registration records under "Cyrus Butts Hull" there also are records under "Cyrus Britts Hull" (Colusa County 1867) and "Cyrus Betts Hull" (Glenn County 1892) so hard to know what his middle name really was . . . . So far, I have not seen any publications, or documents that would include an actual signature.

Contributor 47833342 is a spouse to Cyrus' ggg grandson and states that Cyrus' middle name is known in the family by "Betts."

Suggested edit: In March 1873 Cyrus wrote a letter to his brother Morgan relating about his life. An excerpt about his oldest son: "...during the time I stayed in Pike Co. near my father-in-law's we had one son born called him, Stephen B. very fine boy but died when 4 weeks old."
(This son was b. 12 Sep 1838 IL-d.12 Oct 1838 IL.)
