Mr. Decker was born in Wayne County, Pa., March 3, 1869, a son of James and Mahala Cheshire Decker. He came to Youngstown in 1901 and was in the contracting business until his retirement 20 years ago. He taught Sunday School at Trinity Methodist here for 43 years and was on the church board.
He married the former Jesse Palmatier 60 years ago.
Besides his wife, Mr. Decker leaves two sisters, Mrs. John Gevert of Binghamton, N.Y. and Mrs. Joseph Noble of Boyd's Mills, Pa.
