Mrs Clara Labott, a former resident of Barton, died at her home 1028 15th Street, Milwaukee, last Wednesday, after a two-weeks illness with peritonitis.
The deceased, whose maiden name is Voelksen, was born in Barton, February 13, 1879. There she was married in February, 1901 to Richard Labott and together they moved to Milwaukee where they had since resided. Her husband and two children, the youngest 2 months old, survive. She also leaves to mourn her early demise, her mother, Mrs. Fred Voelksen of Barton, one brother and three sisters, namely: Gustave of Eau Claire; Mrs. Adolf Schnepf of West Bend, Mrs. William Capelle of Barton and Alvina at home.
The remains were brought to West Bend on the 11:55 train last Saturday morning, from where the funeral was held. Interment was made in the Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery, Rev. Hoyer officiating. The surviving relatives have our heartfelt sympathy.
