Robert "Bob" Lane, 90, of Reno, passed away at 3:00 am June 13, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. Robert was born on March 21, 1927 in Marietta, OH to the late Perry and Lola Lane.
He was a structural designer / draftsman and mechanical engineer and retired as Plant Engineer for Connex Corp where his work improved factory safety and production in various plant locations. Robert attended two years at Marietta College, was a christian by faith. He was a member of American Union Lodge #1 F&AM, Marietta York Rite Bodies, KYCH and a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father and a gifted artist, photographer and cook who loved ballroom dancing.
Robert is survived by two sons; Daniel Lane and Jonathan Lane (Debbie), both of Reno.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years Helen Lane, brothers, Kenneth and Louis and a sister, Lois.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH with Roger Rush officiating. Burial to follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
