Funeral services for Mr. Ed Ellerbee, 94, of Ashburn, will be held in the Harmony Baptist Church, on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Turner County. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The son of the late William Isiah and Addie Mae Mitchell Ellerbee, he was born in Turner County and where he resided until his death. He was a self-employed mechanic and was a member of The Harmony Baptist Church. Mr. Ellerbee served his country in the US Army during WW II. He was the widower of the late Swannie Grace Rice Hallman Ellerbee.

Mr. Ellerbee was a bee keeper and read and studied his Bible daily. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter.

Survivors include his sister, Willie Mae Chattin of Sylvester, GA and his brother Royce Eugene “Sam” Ellerbee of Albany, GA. A large number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 12 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
