Just 2 days before his fifth birthday, Rudy was walking down the side of the street towards the cafe where our Mother worked. A man who was talking to a pedestrian while driving, and not watching the road, hit Rudy, killing him instantly. He was buried on his birthday.
I'll never know what he might have become, but I will always be glad I had him for a big brother for a little while. Someday we will meet him again in heaven.
