Final Rites Set For Arthur Watson
Arthur M. (Jack) Watson, age 51, a life long resident of Flora, died Monday morning at the Baptist Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the son of the late W. M. Watson and Mrs. Sallie Cox Watson and was member of the Flora Baptist church. He had been employed by the Mississippi Road Supply Company for the past seven years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jewell Hawkins Watson: two daughters Miss Betty Jo and Bunny Watson, all of Flora; four brothers R. R. Watson; S. F Watson; C. O. Watson all of Flora and Oscar Watson of Memphis three sisters Mrs. Steve Evans of Houston. Texas; Mrs. Will Bahmn of Flora and Mrs. Daisy Griffin of Bentonia.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p. m. from the Flora Baptist church with Dr. W. P. Davis officiating.
Interment will be in the Flora Cemetery under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Melton Williams; Tom Davis: Wiles Farr; Buddy Smith; Larry Cooper; Bud Tucker; Victor Carmody and John B. Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Thompson, Dr. Segrest. Dr James and all employees of the Mississippi Road Supply Co.
The remains will be at the home of Douglas Hawkins in Flora until service time.
