She was a loving mother and grandmother and a loyal and devoted friend and sister. Lillie Mae was also dedicated to her civic organization 'Just Us of Phoebus.'
Ms. Lillie M. Glover, daughter of the late Charlie and Carrie Glover, was born in Franklin County, N.C., on March 6, 1944. She was number 12 of 14 children. Lillie Mae was preceded in death by her seven brothers and four sisters.
Lillie Mae accepted Christ at an early age and joined Old Liberty Baptist Church in North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Darryl Glover (Penny) of Williamsburg, Va.; two daughters, Katina Glover and Latasha Bullock, both of Newport News, Va.; four grandchildren, Donna, Little Darryl, Deshaun and Destiny; two sisters, Peggy Butler (James) of Newport News, Va., and Barbara Fant of Bronx, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, Vassie Chamberlee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, September 14, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Service will be held at noon Saturday, September 15, at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
The Glover family is receiving services of comfort from Nicholson-Cummings Funeral Home, Inc., 4304 Victoria Blvd., Hampton.
