She married Nels G. Akerlund June 30, 1937 in Rockford. He predeceased her February 12, 2008. Florence was a member of Bethesda Evangelical Covenant Church.
She is survived by: sons, David (Elaine), Dan (Sara), and N. John (Betty); daughter, Karen (Dr. Rev. Arvid) Adell; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by: parents; husband; daughter, Debbie; brother, Phil Anderson; and sister, Frances Sanders.
