Sister Frances Kaproth, OSB, 90 St. Cloud Aug. 11, 1910-Nov. 8, 2000 Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict's Monastery Chapel, St. Joseph, for Sister Frances A. Kaproth, OSB, 90, who died Wednesday at St. Scholastica Convent Burial will be in the monastery cemetery. Friends may call from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Friday at the convent in St Cloud and after 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the monastery chapel in St. Joseph. Sister Frances Kaproth, OSB, was born in Foley to Joseph and Pauline (Kampa) Kaproth. She entered St Benedict's Monastery on June 12, 1932, made her first profession of vows on July 11, 1933, and her final profession on July 11, 1936. She attended St. Cloud State Teacher's College, the Diocesan Teacher's College in St Paul, and the College of St Benedict in St. Joseph, where she earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education. She also attended Washburn University in Topeka, Kan. She was an elementary teacher in St Cloud, Maple Lake, New Munich, Browerville, Long Prairie, Perham, Luxemburg and Pierz for more than 40 years. She then taught religion classes and did home visiting at Little Flower Mission in Onamia. She retired to St. Scholastica Convent in 1990, where she did craft work. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her Benedictine community. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
