BYESVILLE Edna J. Slifko, 64, of Byesville, died Saturday (Aug. 5, 2006) at her home.
She was born July 12, 1942, in Cambridge, daughter of the late John W. and Edna (Hill) Wolfe.
Mrs. Slifko was a homemaker and a 1960 graduate of Cambridge High School.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and going to town on Fridays with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Slifko, on June 4, 2004. They were married Sept. 10, 1960. Also deceased are two sisters, Dorothy Delforge and Helen Stevens; a brother, Harold Wolfe; and a daughter-in-law, Tammy Slifko.
She leaves three sons, James L. Slifko of Byesville, Kenneth L. Slifko of Pleasant City and Craig A. Slifko; a daughter, Tammy Sue (Curt) Wilson of New Concord; four brothers, Charles Wolfe, John W. Jack Wolfe II, Russell (Mary) Wolfe and Roy (Jane) Wolfe, all of Cambridge; four sisters, Wilma Rose, Violet (Dick) Gatrell, Thelma Wynn of Cambridge and Gladys Harper of Quaker City; four grandchildren, James L. Jay Slifko III, Tiffany Ann and Courtney Marie Wilson and Molly Ann Slifko.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Al Dudley officiating.
Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
