She was born on April 22, 1923 in Simon, WV a daughter of the late Gentry Cline (1882-1968) and Celia L. "Dolly" Harvey-Cline (1904-1954). In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of seven years, Hugh Hatfield (1929-1958) whom she married on May 12, 1951 in Simon, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1951, Page 199, Application Date: May 4, 1951); brothers, Bert Cline (1904-1967), Lorn "Cat" Cline (1908-2010) & Elsie Workman-Cline (1915-Deceased), Allen Cline (1917-1992) & Carrie Cline (Deceased), and Dell E. Cline (1919-1977) & Freda Cline (Deceased); and sisters, Lake "Lakie" Cline-Belcher (1909-Deceased) & Lee "Bud" Belcher (1903-1973), Francis "Frankie" Cline-Goodman (1912-1994) & James "Jim" Goodman (1913-1985), Victoria "Vickie" Cline-Toler (1916-1981) & Chester "Chess" Lee Toler (1906-Deceased), and Elouise Cline-Bailey (1924-2007) & Earl Bailey (1914-1957).
Survivors include a daughter, Velva Hatfield-Osborne & Willie Osborne Sr. of Sunhill, a grandson, Willie Osborne Jr. & Kimberly Osborne, Jr. of Clear Fork; a granddaughter, Mist Lee Osborne-Vance & Dwayne Vance of Sunhill; seven great grandchildren, Bradie Vance, Kadien Vance, Kymber Vance, Kaige Osborne, Whytlee Osborne, Morgan Birchfield and Marleigh Birchfield; a sister Ida Marie Cline-Pinchback (B. 1931) & Jack Thomas Pinchback (B. 1932) of Baileysville; four nieces, Billie Jean Shields, Anthony Shields both of Cool Ridge, Faye Maria Trent and Alex Trent both of Clear Fork; and a host of other nieces, nephews, loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jay Blankenship officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.
