Jarl O. Sesby Jr. (Skip) 76 of Arlington, WA, died peacefully surrounded by his family on June 1, 2017. He was born November 4, 1940, in Everett, WA, to Jarl and Jeanette Sesby (Knutson). He graduated from Arlington High School in 1959. He enlisted in the Army in 1960 and joined the Company 504 82nd Airborne in Fort Brag, NC, of which he was very proud. In 1961 he married the love of his life, Patricia Hughes. They were married for 47 years. They moved back to Arlington in 1963 where they raised four children on the family dairy farm until 1976. He was then employed by BA Strickland of Burlington, WA. and retired from Roy N Carlson of Stanwood, WA. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Silvana, WA, Sons of Norway and The American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and had the opportunity to fish in Alaska with his sons. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Sesby, Judy Crow, Sandy Lampard, and parents, Jarl and Jeanette Sesby. He leaves behind daughters, Michelle Love (Rick), Cherrie Olson (Mark); sons, Darren Sesby and Brent Sesby all from Arlington; grandchildren, Kayla Olson, Eric Love (Britany), Michael Olson, Hayden Love, Kara Sesby, Alyssa Sesby, Leif Sesby, and Britany Hays; great grandchildren, Kevin, Zoe and Emma Grace; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nancy Hughes and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Peace Lutheran Church in Silvana, Washington at 11:00. Burial will follow at the Little White Church on the Hill. Memorials may be made to The Little White Church on the Hill. Arrangement under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral home, Stanwood.
