Hubert (Bert) Boyd, 70 of Fresno died Jan 22, 1975 in a Fresno hospital. Mr Boyd had lived in Visalia from 1931 to 1952. He was a painting contractor before serving in the Navy in World War 2. Upon his return he opened Boyd's Paint Store which he owned and operated until 1952, when he retired and moved to Marlin, WA. He moved to Boise, Idaho in 1966 and then to Fresno in 1972. He was born and reared in Wallowa, OR. He married Viola Boring in LeGrand OR in 1924 and they moved to California that year. Mr. Boyd was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by his widow; a son and daughter, a brother Ervin Boyd of Stockton; a sister Helen Boyd of LeGrand, OR; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
