Parents: Benjamin Joseph "BJ" Baldwin and wife Elizabeth Lunn
Married to Charles H Towl
Mother of Herbert Towl, Clarence Charles Towl, Alice A Towl, and Rachel Towl.

Cora was born in Illinois, then her family lived in Nebraska; she had 4 siblings: 2 sisters, 2 brothers. (Census 1870, 1880, 1885).
Cora married Charles H Towl in 1891; had their family of 4 children, and by 1900 census, Cora is listed as head of household in Deadwood, Lawrence, South Dakota. Though she is usually listed as married, husband Charles Towl went to California for work, where he died in 1927.

Cora raised the children by herself, and went into the county hospital by 1930 census, where she is listed as a dishwasher in the hospital kitchen. 1940 census lists her in same place but no longer working.

Her death certificate indicates she died in the county hospital, with burial in Mt. Moriah cemetery.

Thanks to her gr-grandson Dennis Riggs for sharing the research and information.
