Funeral services for James Chandler Massey, 79, who died Monday at Gila General Hospital were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Walker’s Globe Mortuary. Bishop W. Smith of Latter Day Saints officiated; Burial was at Globe Cemetery. Mr. Massey was born in Deep Creek North Carolina, came to Arizona in 1927 and had been a Globe-Miami Resident the past 14 years. He was a retired Police Officer and Miner. He is survived by one son, James Carson Massey. Three daughters; Mrs. Joe Chansler & Mrs. Claude Johnson of Alamogordo New Mexico. Mrs. Howard Payne of Silver City New Mexico. One sister Mrs. Jim Bays also of Alamogordo New Mexico. Ten Grandchildren and 21 Greatgrandchildren.
