Raymond V Rocque, 75, died Saturday, Sept 8, 1989 at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington, after a long illness.

He was born in Grand Isle, Dec 22, 1913, the son of William and Olive (Blow) Rocque.

He had lived in Huntington since 1948, here he operated a farm for many years.

He married Marion Hallock on Oct 23, 1965.

He leaves his wife Marion and a son James Rocque, both of Huntington; two daughters, Mrs Paul (Nancy) Roberts of Williston and Mrs Robert (Patricia) Piotrowski of Waterbury; a brother, William of Essex; three sisters, Mrs Carl (Arietta) Patnode of Essex, Mrs J Leo (Rose) Desjardins of Lyndonville and Mrs Frank (Frances) Aulicino of Schenectady, NY; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mrs Eva Ferris, in 1972, and a grandson, Jay Keefe in 1986.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Richmond. Visting Hours are from 7-9 today and 2-4 and 709 p.m. Monday at the Gifford Funeral Home in Richmond.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at 10 a.m in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Richmond with the Rev John McSweeney as celebrant. A delegation of members of the United Baptist Church of Huntington and their pastor, the Rev Robert Martens, attended. Interment followed in Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Richmond. Bearers, all grandsons, were: Andrew Martin, Thomas Keefe, Neil and Peter Roberts and Jamie and Clayton Rocque. Among his survivors, Mr Rocque also leaves his stepchildren, Barbara Martin of Huntington, Roger Little of Huntington, Fred Little of Richmond, and Robert Little of Hinesburg.
